Mimi Fong

Mimi Fong was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. As a teenager, she moved with her family to Jericho, New York, where she was a member of Arts Honor Society and graduated from high school with honors. She subsequently earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minor in Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. After college, Mimi embarked upon a career in IT, rising to the rank of Vice President with responsibilities of a senior architect. Throughout this time, her devotion to the arts remained evident, as she explored the New York art scene and continued her study of classical ballet.

In 2001, Mimi left the IT field to pursue her longtime passions: art and design. After earning a degree from New York School of Interior Design, Mimi worked under several internationally acclaimed interior designers and award-winning architects in the residential and hospitality design fields.

In 2003, Mimi established Luminosus Designs to bring exceptional service to clients who want extraordinary style.
